We are excited to let you know that all deed, mortgage and index books are scanned and are accessible on this web site.

There are several ways to search for documents.

By Book and page - If you have the book and page click the Images tab at the top right corner. If you are looking for a book and page that is from 1818 to 1832 which are in books A1 - I9 you will need to put the letter twice. For example, if you are searching for Book A1 (1818) page 1, you will need to enter Book AA1 page 1. We had to do this due to the fact we have another set of books with the same letter and number system.

By Name- The page to search names is this landing page, this is the Land Records Tab at the top right corner. The documents are indexed back to1959, Plats are indexed back to 1815. When you search by name, documents from 1959 to present should populate. Any document that is not indexed (prior to 1959) can only be looked up by book and page.

By Using the Index Books to locate Book and Page- This method would be used to preform a search for documents prior to 1994 (note that Deeds are indexed up to year 1959). Click on the Old Index Books, choose the index book type, ex: Deed index, Miscellaneous index, Mortgage index. Choose the letter that the sur (last) name begins with, then choose the letter of the first name. Click search, the index book page will then populate. Get the book and page from the index page and insert the information at the top right-hand corner. Click search and the document will populate.

Advanced Search- This tab is located on the landing page, it is beside the Standard tab. On this screen you can search many different ways. By date, by similar word, by Firm and by description. If the parcel number was indexed, you can key it in the description and it should pull up. (Please note if there are more than 3 parcels on the deed we do not key the parcel numbers)
